Makarska
Makarska is a beautiful town, a port and a tourist center of a riviera that stretches over 50 km along the coast, under the mountain Biokovo. Makarska is situated by the sea and its consists of a town center built in the Mediterranean style and baroque houses, while in the modern part you can find restaurants, hotels, campsites, apartments and villas. Beaches in the town center are very beautiful, but if you want to avoid crowded places, then you can visit one of the peaceful coves nearby.
Biokovo was declared a Park of nature in 1981.and it is the highest mountain on the whole Mediterranean (1762m). So, if you are fond of trekking, you can go for walks or go for excursions and explore the area.
