Murter is one of the most beautiful destinations of the Central Adriatic. It is an island with all features and attractions of the Dalmatian islands, with an advantage: it is connected with the mainland by a bridge in the settlement called Tisno. It will take you slightly more than 3 hours' drive from Zagreb to Murter (exit Pirovac on a new highway).
Murter still lives a traditional life of fishermen and farmers. It has a beautiful coast with sand and pebble beaches, crystal blue sea, mild climate with a lot of sunshine. Also, Murter has a post office, pharmacy, a surgery, a dentist, numerous restaurants, shopping centres, marinas, rent-a-boat, bicycle or scooter, there is a tennis court and other entertainment facilities. Murter is a «gate» to the Kornati archipelago – the national park comprising more than 140 islands and islets of exceptional beauty.
